ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  The question Darton golf coach Dale Dover hears a lot this time of year is can his squad win a fourth national title.

Dover says he doesn't know what his team will do this spring after their finish to the fall schedule.

The Darton golf team kicks off their 2009 spring season on Sunday at the Titan Invitational in Melbourne, Florida.

Coach Dover is hoping a new year will get his team back in swing.

Darton won the prestigious NJCAA national championship preview tournament in October but finished third in their final tournament of the fall schedule.

The Cavs will also be without sophomore Aaron Elrod who is out for at last another month with a broken arm.

The Darton lineup still has freshman Lon An who is ranked number one in the nation in the juco ranks.

Dover hoping the talented freshman and the experience from sophomores Ridge Purcell, Evan Hanna and Jen Chung will be the championship mix he expects.

Dale Dover said. "I felt with them coming back that we would be much better than we were last year. So far, it hasn't proved out. We still have a ways to go. We certainly got a great deal of room for improvement."

Darton will play in six tournaments this spring including the region golf tournament they will host in late April at Stonebridge.
