ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A highly-awaited DVD hits stores Tuesday. If the attention at stores matches ticket-buying at theatres, it's sure to be a hot sell.

"Fireproof", the latest movie produced by Albany's Sherwood Baptist Church, goes on sale Tuesday morning. Many Christian retailers have been pre-selling the movie.

Lifeway Christian Store in Albany says early purchases have been good and they'll have extra staff on hand tomorrow to handle an expected big crowd.

"We've been extremely busy. It's taken off real well. The movie was very successful within the community. It's been a tool for couples and those wanting to re-do their marriage vows," said Store Manager Mike Bertram.

"Fireproof" was the 83rd top grossing movie of 2008. It's still in theaters where it's brought in more than $33-million. It also spawned a bestselling book, "The Love Dare."
