THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - More layoffs in South Georgia. Equipment giant Caterpillar is struggling. They say clients are cancelling orders and they need to cut 20,000 jobs nation-wide.

The Caterpillar plant in Thomasville employs close to 200 people. Some of those employees contacted us today and told us they were called into a meeting this morning and informed that their last day would be February 13th.

When we called the corporate office, they wouldn't go into details about the lay-offs or how many people would lose their jobs in Thomasville. Feedback
