THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A Mitchell County woman died Sunday afternoon when another vehicle hit her van and forced her and two passengers into a ditch.

It happened at the intersection of Hwy 188 and U.S. Hwy 19 in Thomas County.   Troopers say 55-year-old Cheryl McKinney of Camilla was headed south on U.S. 19 when 17-year-old Joseph Baker of Thomasville broadsided them.

McKinney's van flipped over and landed in a ditch. She died.

Her two passengers, Richard Wagner and Bert Calderon, were injured. Wagner is in fair condition. Calderon is in good condition. Baker was also hurt.

Charges against him are pending.
