ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State baseball team is ready to open the season in one week.
The Rams team will have a new lineup this year.Head coach Edward Taylor working hard to bring in players like former Mitchell-Baker star Brandon Marcus, Darton transfer Gilberto Amarante, Valdosta's Robert Harris from Alcorn State and Lowndes Dax Spriggs who played last year at ABAC.
Coach Taylor hopes these new players will bring a new attitude and bring Albany State their first SIAC title in three years.
Edward Taylor said. "Right now we don't even have a starting lineup. We have got so many guys who can play, even the freshmen. Everybody can come in and play right now. I am just trying to narrow it down to see how we are going to start the season off."
Albany State opens the baseball season Feburary 3rd at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville.
The Rams home opener is February 9th against Tuskegee.
