ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Winning it has been said can breed complacency.Dougherty High girls basketball coach Charlene Jackson thinks that statement applies to her team at the moment.
The Dougherty Lady Trojans are 7-0 in region play after Tuesday's win over Crisp County. The problem coach Jackson has with her team's latest victory is they almost lost the game after having a big lead.
With the second half of the region schedule starting on Friday, coach Jackson knows her team needs a wake-up call.
Charlene Jackson said. "We expect them to put forth a better effort. We let them know right off the bat that we have a lot of work we are going to be putting in tomorrow. So that we won't have the kind of performance tonight that we did."
Dougherty will start the second half of the region schedule on the road Friday at Perry.Lady Trojans have a big non region game Saturday against 1-AA leading Albany High.
