ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A piece of Georgia history owned by a former Moultrie man, played an important role in delivering the new President to the capitol.

The plush blue rail car that you see here is known as the Georgia 300 and it's owned by former Moultrian Jack Heard.

Heard told us he was honored this weekend when he joined President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden and their families on the ride from Philadelphia to Washington D.C. Heard bought the rail car in 1986 and has leant it to both Presidents Bush and Clinton for their campaigns. Heard now lives in Florida.
