MEIGS, GA (WALB) - A Mitchell County man is charged with kidnapping his estranged wife and leading deputies on a high speed chase.
Thomas county investigators say 39-year-old Jimmy Gardner of Camilla went to his wife's home off Webster Street in Thomasville Thursday night pulled a gun and forced her to get into his car.
Police say the woman, 34-year-old Kelana Gardner convinced him to let her out to use the restroom at a Meigs convenience store where she got store employees to cal 911.
When police showed up, they say Gardner took off. They chased him and caught him near Camilla Feedback
