Albany- A fireman is honored for saving a woman's life.

Albany Fire Department veteran Robert Taylor was given the Albany Exchange Club's highest recognition "Fireman of the Year."

In July, Taylor's quick thinking saved an Albany woman, who suffered a heart attack, and had quit breathing.

"You have a job to do," said Fireman of the Year Robert Taylor. "You asses the situation, and try to give the best care you can to the individual, or even the situation. That's what we're trained to do-- handle the situation. You don't think about anything else but the situation."

Taylor credits the training he received, and his mother's encouragement, for being a good fireman.
