ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Circuit City will close all 567 of its stores including the one here in Albany. 67 people at the store here will loose their jobs.

In all, Circuit City has about 34,000 employees. They are liquidating all the merchandise in the store, either by reselling to vendors or marking prices down for customers. That sell off begins Saturday and will last approximately 60 days.

Employees just got the news this morning.  Store Manager Matthew Barnes said, "That means Circuit City will be shutting its doors. Sometime within the next 60 days Circuit City will shut down for good."

If you have anything ordered with Circuit City, you'll need to go into the store and get a refund. Anything that hasn't arrived and isn't already en route, will not be delivered. If you have a gift card for the store, you can use it through the liquidation, but after the stores have closed, it will be worthless. All sales during the liquidation are final.

If you financed a purchase through Circuit City, you'll still be allowed to make payments until you have paid off your account, since that agreement is through a 3rd party.
