ALBANY, GA (WALB) - For the second time in less than three days, a Slappey Boulevard restaurant was robbed at gunpoint. Police were called out to the Subway at 1801 North Slappey Boulevard around 10:30 Monday night.

Investigators say two men, armed with guns, entered the restaurant and demanded money. No one was injured and the suspects fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. Witnesses tell police that the suspects had their faces disguised.

One of the gunmen was wearing a ski mask, dark shirt, and jeans. The other suspect was described as wearing tan clothing and a stocking cap.

While authorities aren't saying if the two crimes are connected, the description of the suspects matches that of the two men who held up the Burger King on South Slappey Boulevard the night of December 27. The same Burger King was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night by a man wearing tan Dickies coveralls and a gray stocking cap.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Albany Police or Crimestoppers at 229-436-TIPS(8477).
