ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Two losses over the weekend wasn't what the Monroe basketball team was hoping for but there was one bright spot for the Tornadoes:
Friday night Robert Arnold made his debut in a Monroe uniform. Arnold, was finally allowed to play after transferring from Texas. The younger brother of former Dougherty and Florida State star, Arnold has averaged 14 points in his first two games. Arnold had previously been denied eligibility to play for Monroe by the GHSA and is very thankful to be playing this year.
"I've been waiting for this for like 14 games I've been on the bench and it's just a dream come true. I thought I wasn't gonna play at all this year but I'm playing" said Arnold.
Monroe visits Perry tomorrow. Tip off at 7:30.Feedback
