VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Just one hour after the Valdosta Hooters restuarant was robbed on Saturday evening, a woman was shot off Ponderosa Drive in Valdosta.

According to witnesses, two men got into an argument and began shooting at each other.  A woman who was standing nearby was unintentionally shot in the thigh. So far, police have one suspect in custody.

"There was an argument that broke out. It appears she was caught in the cross fire when a weapon was discharged and she was struck in her body. She was taken to South Georgia Medical Center where she has been treated and released," says Lt. Bobbi McGraw of the Valdosta Police Department.

"The police department has apprehended one suspect in this incident, and we are working on getting the second," says Lt. McGraw.

The victim did not live at the residence on Ponderosa.  It appears she was simply visiting when she was injured.
