ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany man is recovering after he was stabbed and robbed in East Albany.
Police were called to Pheobe Putney Memorial Hospital around 10 Saturday morning.
29-year-old LaDerick Chappell said he was walking on a path near the Sunchase Apartments on Hobson Street when he was approached by two black males wearing masks.
The men demanded money. Chappell said when he didn't immediately comply he was pistol whipped.
The suspects took an unknown amount of cash before stabbing Chappell twice in the leg.
His injuries are not life threatening.
