Valdosta Police are releasing the identity of the suspect involved in December 5th's Troup Street shooting.
Zabian Bellamy, a 27-year-old resident of Lakeland, has already been charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to distribute. He was also charged with aggravated assault of a police officer, three counts of obstructing an officer, and several gun charges.
Bellamy was shot by officer Vernotis Williams after he allegedly pointed his gun at police. His identity has been withheld due to further investigations. Additional charges may be added.
