ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The city attorney won't pursue charges against a businessman who put crosses on the roof of one of his buildings in downtown Albany.

City Manager Al Lott told WALB, the city will drop the case against Peter Studl. Studl was cited last month for installing three large crosses on top of the exchange building at the corner of Washington and Broad Avenue. The city said they violated the sign ordinance and were a safety hazard.

Studl has since taken the crosses down and is in compliance with the city.
