Palmyra wins its Certificate of Need application - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Palmyra Medical Center has won approval to begin Obstetrical Services.

The Department of Community Health has approved the hospital's Certificate of Need (CON) application to provide Level One Obstetrical Services to the people of Albany and southwest Georgia.

Currently, most babies born to Dougherty, Lee, and Worth County mothers are delivered at Phoebe Putney Hospital.
