FRANKFORT, KY (WALB) - When you have lost four straight games, you need a strong start to break that streak.
That is what Albany State got in a 74-64 win over Kentucky State Thursday night.
The Rams scored the first eight points and built a 14-point lead in the first half.
Sean Glenn and Scheraun King both had 19 points each for the Rams who are 4-5 and 3-2 in the SIAC.
The Albany State Lady Rams couldn't buy a basket in the second half in a 72-41 loss to the Thorobrettes.
Kentucky State led by two at halftime.
The Lady Rams however scored just five field goals on 28 attempts in the second half where the scored just 14 points.
Nikia Trice had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead the Lady Rams who are 4-7 and 3-2 in the SIAC.
The Albany State basketball teams wrap up their week long road trip Saturday at Fort Valley State.
