St. Augustine, Fl (WALB) - Valdosta State showed their defense is ready for Gulf South Conference action.
The Lady Blazers held Flagler to just 32 points in a 48-32 victory.
The VSU women had 16 steals and forced 22 Flagler turnovers.
Brittany Hudson led the VSU women with 12 points and former Worth County Lady Ram Courtney Mitchell had 10 points off the bench.
The VSU women are 10-4 and open GSC play Saturday at Alabama-Huntsville.
