Albany -- A hit and run driver killed a woman Friday night, and now the victim's family is pleading with the driver to surrender.

Forty-three-year old Joanne Frazier Rivers was run down in the 700 block of Don Cutler Lane about 11:45 Friday night.

Rivers was leaving a friend's home when a 1987 Chrysler Fifth Avenue ran her down. Police found the car a short time later at the East Broad Avenue Bridge. Witnesses say two men were in the car when it hit Rivers.

Her daughter Shanta Teemer says she hopes they turn themselves in. " Cause I know you're hurting, cause I'm hurting. That's my Mamma. So if you just come forward and give us a chance to rest or something. I haven't slept or anything. I just want some peace of myself for my mamma."

Joanne Rivers was a mother of three, and grandmother. Her funeral will be Saturday at the First Monumental Faith Ministries Church.
