LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) - The school bus driver, with more than a dozen students on board, saw the line, which looked like a power line, about 7:30AM Wednesday on Third Road at Helen Road, off Philema Road.

The bus driver stopped and reported the problem.  Sheriff Reggie Rachals, Deputies, and Firefighters all responded within minutes.

The downed wire was a cable line, which Deputies threw off the road, and the school bus continued to pick up students.  But the Sheriff complimented the driver for her fast thinking.

"She did a real good job of stopping and making sure everything was good about that.  Make sure it was not a power line," Rachals said.

There were a few other downed limbs on Third Road, but very little other storm damage in that area.
