Albany - A powerful thunderstorm ripped through Northwest Albany and Southern Lee County around four this morning. Trees were blown down, power lines fell and debris still covers several streets and roads.
A 62 mile per hour wind gust blew over the WALB-TV studios. Trees are down along Stuart Avenue and power is out in the area.
Trees are also down in the Huntingdon Subdivision on Old Leesburg Road in Lee County, as well as on Dunbar Lane and Lover's Lane Road.
Use caution when driving in these areas.
