ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dougherty County commission is leasing property it owns to the Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority to help attract a new business.

Monday, Commissioners agreed to lease  property on North Jackson to ADICA. It's the home of the former Custom Interiors. ADICA will sublet the property to a dollar store that will soon open.

ADICA is also exploring buying that property and the connecting store fronts, as well as the parking deck from the county in an effort to spur more economic development.
