ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission has a new president.

Ted Clem has been serving as the Executive Director of the Bay County, Florida Economic Development Alliance. Monday, he accepted the EDC board's offer to replace Tim Martin who resigned nine months ago.

Board Chairman Bobby McKinney said Clem's resume perfectly fit the description recommended by the consulting firm.

"When we saw this resume and when he came in all of those criteria were pretty much inline with the expectations of the city, county and the chamber for what they wanted in the job description," said Bobby McKinney, Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission Board Chairman.

The search committee described Clem as energetic and praised his ability to communicate. They also said Clem is a certified economic developer.
