ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Burglars hit the Albany Museum of Art off Gillionville Road.
The panel's of this front entrance door were kicked out New Year's Eve and an interior glass door broken.
The Museum alarm system went off but the thieves still grabbed a donation box near the front door and made off with about $150. They dropped some cash in their haste.
Interim Director Nick Nelson said "It's really disappointing, because the Museum is here to serve the community and be a resource for the community. So it's kind of disappointing when something like this happens."
No art work was stolen or damaged.
The thieves haven't been caught.
