ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Blue lights flashed near crime scene tape that surrounded the parking lot of a liquor store where police found two men with gun shot wounds. One of them wouldn't survive the night. "We just heard two gun shots, that was it. Pow pow," said Barbara Mims.

Those shots were fired hit a white Pontiac Grand Am. "Than we seen police and ambulance everywhere, and we didn't know what happened," said Mims.

"What they found was a white car with two males in it who were both suffering from gun shot wounds," said Albany Police Chief, James Younger.

After investigating, police found the original scene of the crime. "As the investigation unfolded, it seems as though the actual scene of the crime is the 500 block of Haley, which is just a few blocks from here," said Younger.

But they didn't find out much else. "The suspect vehicle involved in the shooting is a white older model Cadillac with fancy rims occupied, we believe, by two or more black males. And that is all we know at this time," said Younger.

Investigators still don't have a motive for the shooting. "I've heard that two men were getting out of the car and got shot," said Mims.

EMS was called and transported both men to the hospital. 37-year-old Unterio Alexander Murray suffered a cardiac arrest at the scene and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The name of the other victim has not been released, but he is still in the hospital for his injuries.
