MONTGOMERY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - The search continues for a former City of Douglas fire chief who disappeared on the Oconee River a week ago.
67-year old Jimmy Porter fell off a jet ski on the river between Montgomery and Jeff Davis Counties last Saturday. He wasn't wearing a life jacket.
The Montgomery County Sheriff says a witness saw Porter make a circle in the river with his Jet Ski. He hit one of the waves created by that turn and got knocked off of the Jet Ski.
