ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Westover High is naturally disappointed they were unable to repeat as
U-Save It classic champions.
The Patriots in fact lost their final two games of the tournament to finish in fourth.
Head coach Dallis Smith is still pleased with his team's start and 8-4 record.
Smith is also ready to get back to work in the gym to shore up the weaknesses his team has since Westover has games with Calhoun County, Perry and Monroe to start their January schedule.
One area coach Smith wants to improve on is the Patriots performance at the foul line.
Westover head coach Dallis Smith said. "It is realy important. Like it or not, we shot 57% from the free throw line. It gives us a chance to get to the line. Do a lot of running and knock down the free throws once we end practice."
Westover High plays Calhoun County in Edison next Friday night.
