ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A known Pelham drug dealer is back behind bars after a pursuit last night in Pelham.

Pelham investigators attempted to stop Lorranger Russell within the city limits around five yesterday. Russell fled along Old Georgia 3. Investigators eventually called off the pursuit when Russell's driving became erratic.

Russell crashed the car after trying to make a turn on Back Nine Road, but climbed out of the car window and ran. Investigators tackled him about a hundred yards away. He's charged with obstruction of law enforcement, trafficking cocaine, and driving with a suspended license.

Investigators found more than 28 grams of cocaine and a large amount of cash inside the car.
