ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Sonar boats from Coffee and Jeff Davis Counties were brought in along with cadaver dogs from Jessup in an effort to locate the former Douglas fire chief who's been missing since Saturday.

Sixty-seven year old Jimmy Porter was last seen on a jet ski on the Oconee River between Montgomery and Jeff Davis Counties.

Rescue workers have searched for him for four days now. Around 12:30 this afternoon, the dogs hit on a location and dive teams from Burke and Chatham Counties were sent into the water, but found nothing.

His family has agreed to call off the search for Christmas, crews will resume Friday morning.
