ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State Lady Rams gave Valdosta State a battle for 43 minutes.
The Lady Rams finaly ran out of gas and lose 68-59 to the Lady Blazers.
The loss snaps a three game winning streak for the Albany State women.
The game was tied at 58 with 1:40 to play when the Lady Blazers scored the final nine points to win.
Michelle Thompson led the Lady Blazers with 19 points and Brittany Hudson scored 16.
Nakia Trice led the Lady Rams with 18 points and Nafeesha Frost and Jennifer Grant both had 14 for the Lady Rams.
Albany State women are 3-3 and play in the SIAC/Sunshine Classic next week in Orlando.
The VSU women are 7-3 and back at home next Tuesday to play Georgia Southwestern.
