ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Not everyone will celebrate Christmas Day with family and friends, but that doesn't mean they have to spend the holiday alone. The Albany Recreation and Parks Department held Christmas with Grandparents at Lockett Station Community Center Monday.

Senior Citizens got together for a nice meal, and to exchange gifts.  Recreation Supervisor Tee Taylor said, "Today is all about fun, not sadness, but fun. They can say, 'well, I did have Christmas.' You know, you don't have to have Christmas with your kids. You can have Christmas with your friends, your next door neighbors."

Christmas with Grandparents is an annual event sponsored by Recreation and Parks and the Albany Police Department.
