ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Andersonville woman is in jail charged with killing a man nearly a year and a half ago.

Mary Elizabeth Rogers is charged with the shooting death of Demetrius Boone. He was found dead in a creek in Macon County in September 2007. He'd been shot twice in the head. Sheriff's investigators searched two sites Friday for evidence in the case. They believe the shooting happened at a house in Andersonville.

The sheriff says Rogers and Boone knew each other, but they aren't sure of the motive in the murder.
