Dawson - A South Georgia woman is hit and killed by a car as she crossed a road in Dawson Sunday night. 48 year-old Carol Diane Blackwell, of Dawson, was hit by a mini-van as she walked down Highway 82.
Dawson Police haven't released the name of the driver of the van, but say he didn't see the woman until it was too late. Charges are pending an investigation.
