ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Albany State offensive coordinator Donald Pittman has long wanted to be a head coach.
Pittman will finally get his chance and it comes against one of the Ram's biggest rivals.
Pittman was named head coach at Fort Valley State Wednesday.
It was a job Pittman was a finalist for three years ago when the Wildcats hired Deondri Clark.
Clark resigned at the end of this season when the Wildcats went 6-5 and lost for a seventh straight year to Albany State in the Fountain City Classic.
