ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County's Chief Superior Court Judge says he's concerned by the extensive criminal background many young people have.

The store clerk held up in this convenience store robbery said the masked gunman was only about 14-years-old.

The two masked men who robbed this store are thought to be between 15 to 18-years-old.

Judge Loring Gray says everyday he sees young adults who have long rap sheets of crimes they committed as kids.

"Consistently,"  said Dougherty County Superior Court  Judge Loring Gray. "It's telling me that by the time we get them we're nothing but graduate school for the juvenile school of criminology."

Gray said the obvious problem is a societal break down in families, and that kids need strong family structure and leadership to avoid becoming criminals at young ages.
