ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A little extra cash under the Christmas tree would be a welcome sight for many this holiday season.
Friday's Mega Millions Jackpot will likely be enough at $207 million dollars. The jackpot has been climbing steadily without a big winner since October 21st. Convenience stores owners in Albany say the bigger jackpot is causing more people to buy a ticket, even if its just a dollar. Today those buying tickets had big plans for the big payout.
"First of all I would put it away for my kid, and my church, and my family," said Desarie Mayes.
"Mainly I would probably travel, that's my passion traveling and that would give me an opportunity," said Michael Grier.
Georgia could be lucky, 47 Robert Harris of Portal, Georgia won a $275 million Mega Millions jackpot in February. Besides Georgia the game is played in eleven other states.
