Albany--Military personnel overseas will not get as much time to send in their absentee votes for the November elections.

Georgia's absentee ballots have not yet been sent out to each County. They should have been ready September 20th, 45 days before the election. The delay will mostly effect military personnel who are sent ballots. Elections Supervisor says, "We hope not. Of course it all goes to the military air mail and we just hope they get there and back, but they still have quite a bit of time."

The Secretary of State is blaming a shortened election schedule caused by redistricting. Dougherty County should get the ballots first thing next week.
