Mitchell County-- A train hauling sulfuric acid derails near the Mitchell-Doutherty County line.
The train derailed Monday and clean-up is still going on. The freight train was headed to Albany from Camilla, when it derailed near Plant Mitchell. No sulfuric acid leaked from the car.
An environmental company from Savannah safely transferred the chemical to another car. The area is expected to be cleaned up by Thursday.
