Albany - Some Albany Police Officers will soon get a pay raise. Tuesday night, City commissioners voted to give $116,000 for incentive raises to officers who get additional education and training.

The money comes from $165,000 dollars in property tax revenue the city will collect because of property reassessments. Commissioners also voted to give the Civic Center more than $200,000 for promotions and replacement of doors on the building. That money was available because the city refinanced the Civic Center's debt.
