Accident kills one in Baker County

BAKER COUNTY, GA (WALB) - One woman was killed after a two-vehicle collision in Baker County Sunday night.

According to Georgia State Patrol, a Ford Ranger pick-up was heading south on Pretoria Road when it ran the stop sign at Highway 91.

The pick-up was hit by a fuel truck heading north on 91.

A man and woman in the Ranger were not wearing seat belts and were ejected.

The female passenger died on the scene. The driver was taken to Phoebe Putney with injuries.

Charges are still pending against him for running the stop sign.

The driver of the fuel truck was not injured. Traffic on Highway 91 was backed up for a couple hours while GSP investigated.
