MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - There are just a little more than two weeks left until Christmas, and as it draws closer many South Georgians are getting into the spirit.
In Moultrie on Sunday Santa strolled through town, taking time to meet his adoring fans, all part of the Christmas celebration in the city's downtown square.
This was the third year Santa Clause made the walk through town...he always ends up at the courthouse.
"I've been living in Moultrie my whole life Christmas is an awesome. I look forward to the lights on the square every year, it's beautiful. I've lived in Florida for a few years and nothing compares to hometown traditions," Teresa Venet, Moultrie.
Many of the retailers were opened on Sunday.
They'll also see increased Sunday business next week.
On Saturday December 13 Moultrie will host their Christmas Parade downtown.
The parade begins at 6 p.m., the pre-show starts at five.
