DOWNTOWN ALBANY, GA (WALB) - For the 18th year in Albany, dozens of floats made their way down Pine Avenue for the annual Celebration of Lights.
The weather was holiday perfect this year for the parade as thousands of spectators looked on.
High school bands, company floats, and even the jolly big fellow himself made it down the parade route.
"It's real nice, festive like, it's my first Christmas parade in Albany," said Jana Jackson, Ft. Gaines.
"We're a military family stationed at MCLB-Albany we're enjoying the parade and waiting to see Santa," said Jacquelin Andrew, Albany.
"I come every year it's the first time for my grand kids, they're from Japan and their father is station in Iraq right now," said Mary Minners, Albany.
WALB-TV carried the parade live on Saturday.
This year's theme was peace on earth.
