ALBANY, GA (WALB) - They protect and serve the country overseas and at home. Now, they're looking for a support system this holiday season.

Six military families at the Georgia National Guard Armory here in Albany are in need of some assistance this Christmas. The Albany Family Assistance Center is hoping some civilian families can lend a helping hand by adopting a military family this holiday season.

"These are families with kids, we haven't deployed yet, but we are about to deploy so these are families that are in our unit that are in need of toys, food, and clothes," said FGST Yneikia Toney, Georgia National Guard.

If you would like to donate you can contact Tinie Stringfield at the Family Assistance Center. That number is (229)382-5620.
