ALBANY, GA (WALB) - You can take a trip through outer space right here in Albany. The bigger and better Wetherbee Planetarium and Science Museum opens Saturday.

The H-D 40 foot diameter dome screen is the first of its kind anywhere in the world. "It's exciting and moves Thronateeska to a new phase in its history," said Tommy Greggors.

In addition to the planetarium, the science center is also opening. It features an interactive board teachers and students can use for lessons.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be at the grand opening this Saturday from noon until 2 PM.
