Dawson- Having your pets spaded or neutered is necessary, but it is expensive. Some South Georgia pet owners got a chance to get it done for free.
The Dawson Humane Society, along with the Remote Area Veterinary Services, offered free neutering and spading services to anyone who owned a pet. This was a learning opportunity for veterinarian students from across the country, who performed the procedures under the supervision of two veterinarians.
There were about eighty-five pet owners who took advantage of the free spading and neutering this weekend.
