ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Just in time for those Christmas long lines at the Post Office, there is a new Postal Station in Albany.

The Hays Pharmacy and Compounding Lab at 2007 Gillionville Road is home to the newest Postal Service Contract Station, opening Monday morning.

You can buy stamps and do any mailing from this station, with pickup everyday. And it should help those holiday waits at the Post Office.

"We don't have any lines waiting right now. We are hoping to take a little bit of load off Laffayette Square Station, to give them some relief. And just more convenient to our customers up and down Gillionville," said pharmacist David Hays.

Albany's newest Post Office station is open from 9:00 to 5:30 Monday through Friday, and 9:00 to 12:30 Saturday.
