Bikefest raises money for national charities

September 20, 2002

Bainbridge- Larry Powell and Tammy Arizmendi are on their way to Bainbridge for the fifth annual Bikefest, but along the way, they made a stop in Baker County to tell us why they go every year.

Larry and Tammy say Bikefest is an unforgettable experience, and each year, they are able to meet many people from different places and backgrounds.

Larry and Tammy were among hundreds of other bikers who came from far and wide to fellowship and have fun.

Bikers also say they enjoy the various vendors who sell everything, including silver jewelry, handmade purses and necklaces, and there is even a vendor who stitches patches onto bikers' jackets.

Last year, the Bikefest presented sixty-five thousand dollars to charities, and this year, they hope to raise even more.
