CRISP COUNTY, GA (WALB) - A Crisp County firefighter injured in a fiery wreck a week ago is still in a Macon hospital recovering.
47-year-old Tommy Hauesler was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia last Saturday when the fire truck he was driving overturned after colliding with an 18-wheeler on Rockhouse Road.
Family members say Hauesler was placed on a new ventilator because he is still having trouble breathing. He is also heavily sedated, and is expected to remain in the ICU for weeks.
33-year-old Shane Alan Waters was the driver of the 18-wheeler and was killed in the wreck.
