Lee County-- The School Board's search for a new school superintendent will start with input from parents.
Dr. Bill Lewis will leave the Lee County School system when his contract expires in June next year. The Board of Education hired an outside group to conduct a search for Lewis's replacement, and they want to hear from parents.
Board of Education Chair Sylvia Vann says, "The search could last six months or longer. We think we will have a superintendent in place when Lewis leaves."
Teachers and parents are invited to an open forum Monday night at Lee County High School. Teachers are asked to come from four p-m to six, and the public is invited from 6:30 to 8:30. Suggestions will be used to develop a criteria used to find a superintendent.
